Project

Stay cable bridge over the Nidelven River in Trondheim, Norway
IABSE Award Winner 2024 - Judges Comments: "This distinctive cable stayed bridge with an inclined steel mast and 112m main span, reaches out over the Nidelven River from the cliff on the west side where the back stays are anchored directly into the rock. The unusual solution is a direct response to the topography and highway arrangement and results in an elegant and economic bridge structure. High strength concrete was used for the bridge deck to reduce the weight, and the main span was cast in-situ in incremental cantilever construction."
